Position
1.0 FTE Montessori Early Primary Teacher (Temporary) – School District 71, Courtenay Elementary, BC.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver Montessori lessons in accordance with the curriculum and the individual needs of each child.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating Montessori environment.
- Observe and assess students’ development, documenting progress and adjusting lessons as needed.
- Foster respectful and positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Model and reinforce grace and courtesy in the classroom.
Skills
- Classroom management with clear structure and gentle guidance.
- Observation and assessment of developmental needs.
- Adaptability to individual children’s needs and classroom dynamics.
- Creativity in bringing new ideas and enrichment activities aligned with Montessori philosophy.
