Job Description
*Duties:* Participates in the technical operation of a high-pressure steam plant to ensure that the power plant is operated and maintained safely and efficiently; operates, maintains, cleans, and repairs steam boilers and all auxiliary equipment in the power plant. Operates emergency generator on assigned shift, responds to emergency situations. Makes rounds of power plant, reads charts and gauges, inspects, and makes adjustments; keeps station daily log, recording charts and gauges; fuel oil/gas readings; maintains good housekeeping practices; performs related duties as required. Shift and Days off will vary; reports directly to the Chief Engineer *Comments:* This is a Civil Service position.
