Academic Program Specialist
**POSITION DETAILS**
The School of Labor and Urban Studies (SLU) Worker Education program partners with unions, community-based organizations, employers, and other CUNY units to provide academic and administrative support to union workers, working adults, and nontraditional students. The program helps participants earn degrees or certificates within CUNY, strengthen their skills, and improve career opportunities.
LEAP to Teacher (LTT), one of SLU’s Worker Education initiatives, is a collaborative program between SLU and several CUNY colleges. LTT offers free, specialized support services to school and daycare workers pursuing higher education and advancing careers in teaching or other fields. LTT services are currently available at eight CUNY campuses: Bronx Community College (BCC), Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC), Brooklyn College, City Tech, College of Staten Island (CSI), Lehman College, Medgar Evers College (MEC), and Queens Colleg...
