Summary The Accountant position is located at the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), Veteran Health Administration (VHA), Mid-Atlantic Health Care Network (VISN 6), Salisbury VA Medical Center (VAMC), Finance Service. DIRECT HIRE AUTHORITY: This position is being filled using Direct-Hire Authority (5 CFR 337.205) for this occupation. Responsibilities The Accountant performs the full range of professional accounting work requiring the application of sound accounting principles, theories, concepts and practice. Responsible for the maintenance, reconciliation and auditing of accounts in a general ledger covering the full range of assets, liabilities, income, expense, cost accounting and budgeting.
