Staff Accountant — Payroll Tax & State Compliance

We are seeking a motivated Staff Accountant looking to grow their career in payroll tax compliance within a fast-paced PEO environment. You'll work closely with our team to support multistate tax filings, state regulatory compliance, and general ledger functions — with mentorship and room to advance.
Core Responsibilities
Multistate Payroll Tax
- Assist in preparing and filing multistate payroll tax returns (quarterly and annual) across all active jurisdictions
- Reconcile payroll tax liabilities and support timely remittance to federal, state, and local agencies
- Help track and respond to tax notices and correspondence from state agencies
