JOB SUMMARY
The Accounting Officer is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring proper accounting treatment of transactions, and supporting timely financial reporting in compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Record, review, and maintain accurate entries in the general ledger.
- Prepare and analyze journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments.
- Ensure proper classification of accounts and consistency with the chart of accounts.
- Reconcile subsidiary ledgers with the general ledger.
- Financial Reporting
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Support closing activities and ensure deadlines are met.
