POSTING # 26-06-10

POSITION TYPE FULL-TIME (Mon – Fri, with one Saturday shift per month)

(8:30 am – 4:30 pm with a 12 pm – 8 pm shift once per week)


Background:


As a member of the Community Helper team, you will be responsible for providing services to children, youth, and families residing primarily in the neighbourhood catchment area, in partnership with residents and other community-based agencies. Working knowledge of computer programs and ability to input data daily; must be able to work occasional evenings and Saturdays.


Qualifications:

  • Initiate, develop, and implement programs and services to address the specific needs of the neighbourhood.

  • Experience working with community structures and community development processes.

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with Indigenous and Non Indigenous organizations.
