Summary:
Assesses the physical and psychosocial status of patient's by means of interview health history physical examination and diagnostic studies.Recognizes deviations from normal and physical assessment and formulates treatment plans for health problems and follow-up.
Prescribes medications and transfusions based on laboratory results, routine diagnostic studies, and treatment care plan.
Reviews patient chart and determines eligibility for clinical trial.
Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team and requests consultation from other healthcare professionals as appropriate.
Interprets and evaluates findings from diagnostic studies.
Relays appropriate information regarding patient care to the collaborating or supervising physician.
Administers therapeutic measures and obtain specimens as appropriate.
