**Aircraft Avionics Technician II**
**Definition:** This is a Journey level for an avionics technician. Incumbents at this level are FCC-certificated technicians that design aircraft radio installations; install aircraft communication and navigation radio systems; disassemble, inspect diagnose, and repair aircraft communication and navigation radio components.
**M** **inimum Qualifications:** Possession of the following certificates: FCC General Radio Certificate and a valid Class-C Driver’s License and five years of aerospace industry work experience as an avionics technician. Military experience may qualify if the level of work and responsibility and equipment worked on was equal to that of an avionics technician (this position requires that the incumbent have a working knowledge of GA avionics).
