Job Description
AP Accountant is responsible for running accounts payable and taxation function for the organization; working under Payment & Taxation Manager. While ensuring the vendors and employees are paid on a timely manner, adequate controls and compliances to processes have to be ensured.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and books of accounts in accordance with company policies
- Record daily financial transactions including receipts, and payments
- Prepare journal entries into the accounting system
- Manage accounts payable and ensure timely processing of vendor payments
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding customer balances
- Perform periodic bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Calculate and file taxes (Income Tax and Sales Tax) in compliance with Federal Board of Revenue and SRB regulations
