Job Description
**POSITION SUMMARY:** The Area Route Manager is responsible for the creation, implementation, training, and facilitation of Route Strategy, and Route Optimization initiatives.
**PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Works closely with Area Director of Operations Support and Area Collections Manager to identify priority Divisions with significant routing opportunities.
+ Provides project management leadership on complex routing initiatives.
+ Partners with Area Operations Managers to implement route improvements and/or enhancements.
+ Partners with Area Operations Managers to improve Customer Zeal.
+ Manages and supports the Route Editor process by aiding with training, the development of productivity goals, route standards, and follow through on the effectiveness of the routing process.
+ Provides supplemental training, as needed, to Dispatchers and Supervisors on route capability concerns such as tracking, entering metrics, and other key data.
