Armed Security Officer

Purpose:
To ensure the safety of personnel, property and assets by preventing security breaches, detecting potential risks and responding to incidents.

Key duties:

• Ensure that only authorised persons are granted access to site


• Conduct patrols within the premises to check for suspicious activity, unlocked doors, or safety hazards


• Conduct general surveillance to identify unusual or risky behaviour


• Respond to emergencies as required – respond to fires, medical emergencies, or security breaches, and initiating evacuation procedures if needed


• Compile incident reports, as required

Minimum requirements:

• Valid PSIRA Grade C registration (or higher)


• Valid drivers license


• Valid handgun competency


• Minimum two years experience as an Armed Officer
