Job Description
The Assistant Athletic Trainer is a vital practitioner in sports health care for Hobart and William Smith Colleges’ intercollegiate student-athletes. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will execute the philosophy and objectives of sports medicine at Hobart and William Smith, which sponsors 31 intercollegiate, multi-divisional sports (NCAA Division I & III) with approximately 800 student athletes. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will report to the Asst AD for Sports Medicine/Head Athletic Trainer and will have responsibilities in these areas: medical care, injury prevention and rehabilitation of athletes; communication with athletic trainers, athletes, physicians, coaches, and parents regarding medical care; student worker management; supply management; electronic medical record keeping; ongoing professional development; emergency action plans; and other duties as assigned.
