Shenandoah University’s Department of Athletics is accepting applications for an Assistant Athletic Trainer. This is a full-time benefited position located on our main campus in Winchester, Virginia.
Responsibilities:
+ Applied Knowledge: Athletic trainers must have knowledge of a large range of medical problems. Assessment, evaluation skills, and working with other healthcare professionals will be required.
+ Decision-Making Skills: Ability to think critically and make independent decisions regarding the assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and return-to-play decisions per state licensure guidelines.
+ Attention to Detail: This should be thorough and detailed with injury tracking and documentation with an electronic medical records system. Assist in coordinating and scheduling medical coverage for practices and events.
+ Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate eGectively in high-stress/pressure situations when talking to student...
