About The Job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur / within the Engineering Department in Kuala Lumpur, the Assistant Chief Engineer is responsible to keep all equipment in good repair with a minimum of downtime by providing day‑to‑day maintenance of the hotel. The Assistant Chief Engineer reports to the Chief Engineer / Director of Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the hotel is ready for any statutory and mandatory audits/inspections such as fire department, MOTAC, FLHSS.
- Attend statutory fire training and be fully conversant with and abide by all rules concerning fire and life safety.
- Delegate, create, prepare and implement the QC/QA plan and any associated directives and instructions needed to support the plan, developing and managing quality control and assurance procedures to ensure high quality results.
