The Role
The Assistant Chief Steward plays a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organization within the hotel’s kitchens and stewarding operations. As part of the pre‑opening team, this position will be instrumental in setting up systems, training staff, and ensuring operational readiness for the successful launch of Mandarin Oriental Makati.
Key Responsibilities
Pre‑Opening Setup
- Assist in developing stewarding policies, procedures, and SOPs.
- Support the procurement, installation, and commissioning of stewarding equipment.
- Organize stewarding storage areas and ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
Operational Excellence
- Supervise daily stewarding operations, including dishwashing, cleaning, and waste management.
- Ensure all kitchens and back‑of‑house areas meet hotel and local sanitation standards.
