About the job Assistant Manager, Horticulture
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement horticultural maintenance programmes for assigned sites.
- Conduct plant health assessments, diagnose diseases, pests, or deficiencies, and recommend appropriate treatments.
- Manage and oversee landscape maintenance teams and contractors in daily operations.
- Select suitable plant species for specific sites based on soil, climate, and design requirements.
- Prepare horticultural reports, maintenance schedules, and inventory records.
- Liaise with landscape contractors, consultants, and relevant authorities on horticultural matters.
- Ensure compliance with NParks regulations and relevant local codes.
- Monitor and maintain irrigation systems and soil conditions to support plant health.
- Ensure landscape contractor adopts horticultural best practices when required.
