Job Description
Key Objective
Plays a key role in supporting the underwriting team by evaluating, selecting, and pricing property insurance risks. This position is also responsible for monitoring and driving production figures, ensuring the achievement of departmental targets while maintaining underwriting discipline and compliance with company guidelines.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluate and underwrite property insurance submissions in accordance with company policies and risk appetite.
- Analyze risk characteristics, loss history, and exposure data to determine appropriate terms, conditions, and pricing.
- Review and approve risks within delegated authority; elevate complex cases as needed.
- Monitor and report on production figures, including new business, renewals, and retention rates.
