What the role is: The Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF)’s Enabling Division (EN) is the national focal point for policy issues concerning persons with disabilities (PwDs) and their caregivers and coordinates these issues across the whole of Government. Our work is guided by the Enabling Masterplan 2030 (EMP2030) and MSF’s commitment to build a more caring, inclusive, and fair society in Singapore. We partner SG Enable to develop and review relevant policies and programmes, and collaborate with stakeholders across the public, people and private sectors to better support PwDs and their caregivers. EN’s Employment and Community-based Services Branch oversees the following policy issues: (i) Employment and supported employment for persons with disabilities. (ii) Community-based care for persons with disabilities, including centre-based and home-based options; and (iii) Support for caregiver of persons with disabilities.
