Job Description
Full-time (80 hours biweekly)
Weekdays, evening shift; 3 pm to 11:30 pm
Some weekends as needed
**General Summary**
Provides supervision of the daily operations and work activities of professional nursing and ancillary services staff on assigned unit. Able to support ongoing operations of department/unit independently as needed. Provides direct patient care as required.
**Essential Functions:**
+ In the absence of the Nurse Manager (NM), the Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) assumes roles and responsibilities of the NM or applicable one up position.
+ Works to support adequate staffing levels and skill mix are maintained for all shifts through the development, preparation and maintenance of staffing schedules that meet department/unit needs and apply to variable census conditions. Makes appropriate adjustments/assignments to maximize timely patient care. Looks to staffing needs into the next matrix.
