About the job Assistant Technical Superintendent
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Within three months of the anticipated docking period, to create an accurate dry-dock repair specification and go over the work scope in detail with the attending superintendent, site crew, and vessel manager.
- Communicate with shipyard staff to arrange dock space and to get updates on the status of any ongoing repairs.
- To evaluate the several yard quotes, bargain, and create a budget that includes the timing and scope of the dry docking process for management's approval.
- To keep overall dry-docking costs under control and within the allocated budget.
- To compile weekly financial progress reports in order to let the attending superintendent stay informed about the status of the projects while the shipyard is being repaired.
