Summary About the Position: Ready to lead in the Last Frontier? Serve as the Deputy District Counsel for the Alaska District Office of Counsel, providing legal services in areas such as contract, environmental, labor and employment, real estate, and ethics law. This position serves as the senior legal advisor in the District Counsel's absence and is ideal for an attorney with broad legal experience and strong leadership skills. Responsibilities Advise the Alaska District Commander and District leadership on civil works, contracts, procurement, fiscal law, environmental law, regulatory law, employment and labor law, tort law, ethics, and litigation. Prepares memoranda and reports outlining and analyzing the facts/legal issues involved, explain the application of legal principles/precedents, and justify appropriate recommendations and conclusions.
