Description:
Performs Aviation logistical support functions for the GDCME-MNG Logistics organization for Class IX (a). Ensures aircraft operational readiness (OR) rates are met by means of ordering, accounting, stocking, issue, transfer, and receipt of spares and consumable parts and equipment. Maintains and warehouses inventory and performs automated parts operations as well as packages materiel for transport. Ensures acquisitions of materials are consistent with specification outlined by the OEM. Must fully understand MILSTRP and FAA requirements for use of special tools and hardware that adheres to the proper metallurgical specification required. Must be able to read and comprehend aviation repair part catalogs, drawings and tolerances for Quick Change Assemblies and Line Replicable Units.
