Job Description
Inuka is working with a renewable energy IPP to recruit a BESS Solutions Engineer based in Cape Town. This role will support utility‑scale battery storage projects across design, procurement, tendering, and execution phases, ensuring technically robust and commercially competitive solutions.
Responsibilities
- Support delivery of standalone and hybrid BESS projects across multiple lifecycle stages.
- Develop and review technical specifications, employer’s requirements, and EPC documentation.
- Conduct technical reviews of BESS technologies, contractors, and system designs.
- Support contract negotiations and technical due diligence processes.
- Provide technical oversight during construction, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Review battery performance, safety systems, and compliance with grid and regulatory standards.
