Job Responsibilities
- Perform heavy fabrication tasks according to drawings and specifications.
- Understand plans and specifications to determine correct setup and welding processes.
- Set up and execute welding processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
- Maintain quality and accuracy in fabricated components.
- Utilise hand tools such as hammers, chisels, and measuring instruments.
- Operate power tools including buffing wheels, drills, polishers, and grinders.
- Align parts using precision tools and instruments.
- Weld using GMAW and FCAW methods, and operate oxyacetylene and plasma cutting equipment.
- Perform flame heating and bending as needed.
- Adhere to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
