About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Boilermakers and 2nd class welders to join the ABFI Steel Group team based in Wacol, QLD. In this hands-on workshop role, you will be responsible for welding and fabricating steel components to exact specifications, ensuring quality workmanship, safety, and on-time delivery. You’ll work as part of a supportive production team, with opportunities to assist across different areas of the workshop including paint and yard/dispatch.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings and work orders
- Weld and fabricate steel components to Australian Standards
- Operate hand and power tools including welding equipment, grinders, and cutting tools
- Measure, cut, assemble, and prepare steel components accurately
- Move materials using overhead cranes and forklifts (if licensed)
