Job Description
We are an accounting firm with almost 10 years’ experience, seeking a competent, reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will support all areas of the practice and work with a diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities:
• Day-to-day bookkeeping and processing up to trial balance
• Capturing and reconciling bank accounts, creditors and debtors
• Preparing and populating VAT, PAYE and income tax returns
• Payroll processing, including EMP201 and EMP501 submissions
• Supporting the preparation of management accounts
• Assisting with CIPC services, including company registrations, amendments, annual returns and compliance
• Liaising with SARS and CIPC where required
• Maintaining accurate records and providing general support to the accounting team
Requirements:
• Proven bookkeeping experience, preferably within an accounting firm
• Sound knowledge of SARS submissions (VAT, PAYE and Income Tax)
