Description
Operate borewell drilling rigs and related machinery.
- Perform site inspection and identify suitable drilling locations.
- Drill borewells according to depth, diameter, and safety standards.
- Install casing pipes, screens, and gravel packing.
- Conduct flushing, air lifting, and well development operations.
- Identify groundwater levels and soil/rock formations during drilling.
- Maintain and repair drilling equipment and tools.
- Ensure proper alignment and stabilization of drilling rigs.
- Follow safety procedures and use protective equipment.
- Coordinate with helpers, rig operators, and supervisors.
- Record drilling depth, water yield, and material usage.
- Comply with local groundwater regulations and guidelines.
- Assist in pump installation and testing after drilling.
