Set-up person/Operator Responsibilities: - Set up CNC mills or lathes including installing fixtures, vises, and work holding. - Load tools into the machine and set tool offsets. - Load and run CNC programs written in G-code. - Perform first-article inspection before starting full production. - Operate the machine and monitor cutting operations. - Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges. - Adjust tool offsets, speeds, and feeds when necessary. - Change worn or damaged cutting tools. - Maintain a clean and organized work area.
