Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN is conducting a search for a full-time surgical oncologist interested in joining a thriving combined breast and melanoma surgical oncology practice. Fellowship-trained board-certified/board-eligible surgeons at all levels of experience are encouraged to apply. Our busy and growing breast and melanoma surgery practice is supported by a multidisciplinary team that encompasses all aspects of treatment for breast cancer and melanoma as well as management of patients at high-risk for future breast cancer. Surgical oncologists interested in a breast surgery or breast and melanoma surgery practice are invited to apply.
Breast patients are initially evaluated by internists specializing in breast disease in a dedicated breast clinic. This collaboration allows the surgeons to be highly efficient with greater than 80% of surgical consultations resulting in operative management.
