Job Description
A massive manufacturerwithin construction and mining is currently looking for a Brilliant Buyer toadd to their team.
DUTIES:
- Placing, expediting and rescheduling of orders on SAP, according toMRP exception messages, timeously.
- Maintain static data on SAP of materials and suppliers (Country ofOrigin, Tariff headings, lead times, price, delivery dates etc.)
- Drive cost and lead time down.
- Effect annual 3rd Party stock Returns until credit is passed.
- Establish and maintain excellent business relationships withsuppliers, forwarding & Clearing agents.
- Manage inventory levels efficiently and effectively as per thestocking policies as mandated by Management.
- Monitor and manage own performance
- Compile monthly reports
- Assist other departments and staff to resolve queries timeously.
- Evaluate Supplier price increases, make recommendations.
