Overview & Responsibilities
- Issue and manage purchase orders for mechanical, electrical, and fabricated parts per project BOMs
- Monitor PO confirmations, track supplier delivery schedules, and update ERP system accordingly
- Communicate proactively with suppliers to clarify order details, expedite deliveries, and resolve discrepancies
- Follow up on open orders and track delivery dates to support factory production needs
- Align procurement timelines with project milestones and elevate delays or material risks to the Purchasing Agent
- Support BOM reviews and ensure accuracy of part numbers, lead times, and pricing in ERP systems
- Assist in sourcing non-standard components when needed for low-complexity engineering changes
- Collaborate with planners and engineers to interpret part specifications and ensure supplier capability and capacity
