Position Summary


The Biology Department needs student Counselors (instructors) for the Camp La Sierra Experience, a joint Early Learning Opportunity Experience for students in the Riverside Unified School District, Alvord Unified School District, and the local community in cooperation with La Sierra University School of Education and various participating departments across the campus.


Role Description and Schedule


Bio-Camp Counselors guide small groups of campers through hands-on learning activities focused on life sciences. Campers rotate through two science-focused sessions each day, led or facilitated by the Counselors.
The Bio-Camp runs Monday through Thursday. Times for Community in week 1 is about 9 AM to Noon. RUSD students (session weeks 1 - 4) and AUSD (session weeks 5 & 6) run from approximately 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM. Each camper group attends for a
