Position Summary
A Dairy/Frozen Department Manager coordinates the merchandise and activities of associates in a department(s) of a Wal‑Mart store through modular integrity, perpetual inventory, merchandise management, and customer service, while maintaining exemplary customer service by adhering to the Basic Beliefs and values of Wal‑Mart.
What You’ll Do
- Assist the Management Team with the supervision of the designated Department, including mentoring, teaching, assigning duties, recognizing, supervising, and communicating with Hourly Associates appropriately and efficiently.
- Order merchandise on time.
- Maintain zero pricing errors (i.e., Scanning Credibility Program).
- Adhere to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell‑by dates, and expiration dates.
