Job Overview
This role involves assembly operations including checking, sorting, packaging, labeling, pasting, sniping, tying, trimming, and performing basic equipment adjustments, routine maintenance, and cleaning. The position may also include handling tank car repairs such as brake tests, general running repairs, re‑qualification, jack railcars, confined space entry, and adherence to health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble minor products or components at a workbench or conveyor line.
- Check, sort, package, label, paste, snip, tie, and trim components manually or by machine.
- Perform basic equipment adjustments, routine maintenance, and cleaning.
- Assist in moving assemblies, machines, or cleaning floors.
- Execute tank car repair tasks: brake tests, general running repairs, re‑qualification, railcar jack, confined space entry.
