Job Description
+ Schedule:Must be able to be on-call in rotating schedule, work 2 Holidays a year and work weekend and evening shifts.
+ Location:St. John Hospital Detroit
Under the direction of a cardiologist performs echocardiograms, and Dobutamine and exercise stress echocardiogram as prescribed by a physician. Assists with transesophageal echocardiograms. Knowledgeable in advanced imaging modalities such as strain, and 3D imaging.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
+ Completed requirements as a Cardiac Sonographer from accredited program.
+ Must be eligible to sit for Registered Cardiac Sonographer designation from national accreditation board. Completed Cardiac Sonographer program and eligible for Registry certification.
+ Registered Cardiac Sonographer in an established hospital non-invasive cardiac testing unit, preferred.
LICENSURES/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
+ Registered Cardiac Sonographer within one year of hire.
