Job Description
- Location: San Juan, Puerto Rico (on-site at a federal medical center, with rotating on-call coverage; residence within the San Juan metropolitan response area required during assigned call periods)
- Employment Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
- Schedule: Clinic and operating room coverage Mondays and Wednesdays, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM AST; case conference Friday mornings, 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM AST; rotating on-call coverage for evenings, overnights, non-clinical weekdays, weekends, and Federal holidays, shared across a two-surgeon team
- Agency Environment: Department of Veterans Affairs tertiary medical center, multi-year federal healthcare services contract supporting an established open-heart surgery program
