Description
As a Cardiovascular Perfusionist, you are responsible for the safe and efficient preparation for and management of cardiopulmonary bypass and related cardiopulmonary support modalities for adult, pediatric and infant patients. You will work in consultation with attending physicians and will administer various anaesthetic and medical gases, other related pharmaceuticals, blood and blood products and various crystalloid solutions.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Perfusion training program.
- Active or eligible for registration with the Canadian Society of Clinical Perfusion (CSCP).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Providers (BCLS‑HCP).
