Experienced Care Assistant – Night Shift
Ocean Healthcare is looking for an experienced Care Assistant to provide 2:1 support for a gentleman in his 60s living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). The role is based in Shaldon, Teignbridge and requires night shifts from 18:45 to 07:00.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing personal care and assistance with mobility using wheelchair and hoist
- Managing airway, tracheostomy and ventilator support; monitoring respiratory status
- Assisting with PEG feeding, colostomy care and other enteral feeding requirements
- Maintaining a consistent routine and ensuring safe, comfortable rest during night shift
- Communicating effectively using eye gaze technology
Qualifications and experience:
- Experience in complex care, airway and respiratory management, and enteral feeding preferred but not essential
