New Directions Education are recruiting for School Caretakers, to cover temporary positions
in Primary & Secondary Schools across South Wales. The roles available are long and short-term temporary,
covering internal staff absences such as sickness or maternity. The areas we are recruiting for are the following: Bridgend, Vale of Glamorgan, Cardiff, Newport, RCT, Blaenau Gwent, Torfaen, and Caerphilly.
The working hours can vary depending on each schools’ specific requirements. Primary
school caretakers will usually be required to work split-shifts, such as 7am – 11am and 3pm – 6pm, secondary school caretakers are usually required to work a full day, such as 8am –
4pm or 10am – 6pm.
School caretakers are also often required to work during school holidays. School caretakers
are responsible for the overall upkeep, maintenance and security of the grounds and
