Caretaker - Recurring Relief, Residence
Primary Purpose: To provide exceptional cleaning services in high volume locations on campus. (Voyageur Place, McEown Park, and other USask residence buildings).
Nature of Work: Under the direction of the Custodial Supervisor, this is a front-line customer service position with frequent contact with students in an environment of occasional interruptions, changing priorities and numerous deadlines. The work involves heavy physical labour and working safely with cleaning agents and solvents.
Typical Duties/Accountabilities: Cleaning washrooms (and all related fixtures), common areas, student rooms and apartments; cleaning stoves, refrigerators and other appliances; cleaning floors (use of dry and wet mops, brooms, vacuum cleaners, shampooing equipment, automatic scrubbing machines, stripping, waxing and polishing); performing minor repairs such as replacing light bulbs, tightening and rep...
