Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker/Cleaner to support the day-to-day operation, cleanliness and security of buildings and facilities.

This is a varied role suited to someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards, has a strong awareness of health and safety, and can provide excellent customer service to members of the public and facility users.


Location: Ferryhill
Type: On-going temporary
Salary: £12.71 per hour
Hours: Monday – Friday (20 hours)


Key Responsibilities

  • Opening and closing buildings and grounds, including routine and non-routine access arrangements

  • Keyholding responsibilities and operation of fire and burglar alarm systems

  • Ensuring the security of all premises and their contents

  • Providing a high standard of cleaning across all facilities, including:
  • Furniture, fixtures and fittings

  • Floors and carpets
