Cashier

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly service.
• Scan and process items at the checkout counter.
• Accept payments via cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payment methods.
• Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges as necessary.
• Count and balance the cash register at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
• Answer customer questions and resolve minor complaints.
• Follow company policies regarding cash handling and security.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Prior cashier or customer service experience (helpful but not always required).
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Honesty and reliability when handling money.
