Commissionaires BC is looking for Detention Guards to assist RCMP members in ensuring the safety of those in custody. This flexible, on-call role is ideal for individuals aged 19 and older living close to the detachment. Responsibilities include monitoring, log maintenance, and ensuring secure conditions for detainees.
Key Responsibilities:
• Observe prisoners frequently and manage cellblock security
• Assist in processing and logging prisoner activities
• Organize meals and maintain cleanliness of cells
• Conduct searches of cells prior to and after occupancy
• Dispense medications to detainees under supervision
Requirements:
• Must be 19 years or older
• Valid Basic First Aid Certificate or readiness to obtain
