Casual Family Support Worker (Visits Centre Assistant) – HMP Nottingham
Join us as a Casual Family Support Worker at HMP Nottingham, where you will play an important role in supporting families visiting their loved ones in prison.
Key Responsibilities
- Help create a welcoming and supportive environment for adults and children in the visitor centre.
- Offer information and guidance to visitors and organise activities for children.
- Ensure refreshments are available and the visit is as positive and stress‑free as possible.
- Support families during challenging times, handling situations calmly and sensitively using experience of working with people facing difficulties.
- Work closely with colleagues and partner agencies, ensuring safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times.
- Provide input to continue improving family support services.
