JOB SUMMARY:
Cath Lab Tech Performs all aspects of physiological monitoring, recoding and calculations for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures done in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Responsible for all radiographic procedures and their quality control in the lab. Assists physicians as a scrub technician during cardiac catheterization procedures. Assists with equipment and room setup for appropriate patient age and size. Assists with preparation of patients for cardiac and non-cardiac procedures. Appropriately preps and drapes patients and sets up procedure tables. Acquires and maintains technical skills required to function completely and assist in a variety of cardiac procedures. Assists with staff education by presenting scrubbing techniques and annual procedure/device competencies. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide age specific to patient's needs.
