Job Description
Assistant Coach:
- Has a thorough knowledge of the Rules and By-Laws of the KHSAA as they pertain to his/her sport, including the clearance of all staff members and student-athletes.
- Understands the proper administrative chain of command and refers all requests or grievances through proper channels.
- Is aware of all public/staff/departmental meetings that require attendance.
- Promotes a sense of unity and camaraderie in the athletic department as a whole.
- Does not discourage students to participate in other school sponsored sports.
- Maintains discipline and works to increase morale and cooperation within the school sports program.
- Assists in the necessary preparation to hold scheduled sports events or practices and adheres to scheduled facility usage times.
- Coordinates facility needs/repairs with head coach.
- Provides proper safeguards for maintenance and protection of assigned equipment. <...
