Minimum Requirements
+ Equivalent of four years of high school education preferred;
+ One year of full time experience preferred;
+ Certification eligible with a National Phlebotomy Association preferred;
+ Proficient in LIS Accessioning and Reference Laboratory Send-outs
Responsibilities:
+ Performs phlebotomy (venipuncture, fingerstick, heelstick, and bleeding time) according to established procedure;
+ Identifies patients and properly labels specimen tubes;
+ Determines priority of STAT draws. Ensures timely transport of all patient specimens to lab f or testing;
+ Utilizes computers as appropriate in completing assigned functions;
