The Certified Pharmacy Technician supports Pharmacists in Specialty Rx medication preparation by dispensing Specialty Rx medications. The Specialty Operations Certified Pharmacy Technician performs varied activities, semi-routine assignments and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments to include computations.
**Certified Pharmacy Technician Main Responsibilities:**
+ Receive in-bound phone calls from patients and providers
+ Enter prescription orders into the system
+ Support pharmacists and patients by ensuring adherence to Specialty Rx specific operational processes developed to optimize health outcomes
+ Interpret area/department policies, practices and methods for completing assignments with some opportunity for interpretation and/or independent discretion
+ Work within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards
