Description This independent trading firm has a strong and well-established trading portfolio, specializing in the physical trading of dry bulk commodities such as coal, iron ore, copper concentrate, and other metals. Due to business expansion, they are seeking a Charterer to join their Singapore-based shipping team.
Role Reporting to Chartering Manager. The role covers chartering, post-fixture coordination, and market intelligence within dry bulk shipping. Key responsibilities include handling freight enquiries, negotiating and finalizing contracts (spot and COAs), and managing chartered vessels to ensure compliance with commercial terms. The position works closely with operations, legal, and compliance teams on voyage execution, KYC onboarding, and contract implementation, while supporting laytime, hire, and freight settlements.
